We've got all our hats on for Expo17 this week - we're presenting storyboarding software PanelForge, talking about our transformative switch to Redshift, and our AnimDojo guys will be exhibiting. Expo17 is software specialist Bluegfx's annual event that brings together tech specialists from the Media and Entertainment world, including animation, design viz, film and games development. The event is free, and is held at the Coin Street Centre near Waterloo station.
For those of you who don't already know, PanelForge is the Drawing, 3D Layout, Storyboard and Animatic production software that we've been using for the last two years on series such as Miffy and Digby Dragon. Following the launch at last year's Expo, we’ll be releasing the software on a limited access rollout after Thursday's Expo. Tom will be introducing PanelForge with the help of BZ's Storyboard Artist Catherine Salkeld, who'll be doing a live demonstration. Pricing and availability for PanelForge will also be announced.
PanelForge will also be represented in the exhibition area, so please pop in and say hi if you'd like to talk to the team about anything PanelForge related.
Faster Rendering with Redshift
Bluegfx asked us to talk about GPU renderer Redshift, as they know how it revolutionised the studio when we made the switch to it in 2015. Tom will be discussing how Redshift gives us the ability to output high quality animation, whilst meeting the tough production requirements of commercials and kids TV.
